“Workmanship is so much nicer when it’s done with hands and if it’s done with loving hands, it goes back into the building.”These words were the philosophy of designer, artist and well respected and beloved builder Nat Kaplan. The unique adobe homes he built in Los Ranchos and the Southwest never fought with or tried to conquer nature, but rather co-existed, arose from, and reflected the beauty of the southwestern landscape.
